Employee evaluations

Employee evaluations are one of the basic tools in human resource management, used among others for:

  • planning career paths of employees
  • creation of efficient motivational schemes
  • deciding whether an employee should undergo training
  • deciding on potential recruitment (internal and external)
  • granting bonuses
  • improving communication and relations between supervisors and reports
  • exchanging opinions between reports and supervisors concerning work quality, strengths and weaknesses of employees

A well-prepared system of employee evaluations requires from its creators much work at the beginning, indeed. However, once it is implemented, the benefits for the company are long-lasting.
